How to setup Rate Limits
Rate limits help to protect your chatbot against malicious attacks that could use your message credits. When the rate limit is exceeded, the chatbot stops responding and displays the message.
Where can i find it?
From the main ChatLab administration page, select Chatbots in the main menu, click on selected chatbot, select Settings and scroll down to Advanced Settings, then to Rate limits.
How to enable it?
Click the button next to Rate limits.
Options:
- The limit: You can set a maximum amount of messages possible to send in a defined amount of time. The limit refers to messages sent from one device and one browswer window.
- Limit hit message: You can set your own message informing the customer that the limit has been hit.
User’s perspective when too many messages sent:
Chatlab’s recommended settings: 40 messages every 150 seconds.
