It's advisable to incorporate the chat module into both the desktop and mobile iterations of your website for optimal visibility to your users.
Obtain the code
Here's a sequential guide for integrating your ChatLab chat module into your Drupal website:
- Obtain your ChatLab chat module embed code.
- Sign in to ChatLab.
- Select the chatbot you want to embed and click “Embed into website”
- Click “Copy to clipboard”
Embed in Drupal
- Access Admin Panel: Log into the admin dashboard of your Drupal website using your login credentials.
- Locate Structure and Blocks: In the main menu, click on "Structure," and then find and select "Blocks."
- Creating and Configuring Block:
- Click on "Add block" to initiate a new block.
- In the block configuration, locate the text box for block content and insert your chat widget code. Ensure you set the text format to "Full HTML" or "Raw HTML" to prevent Drupal from altering your code.
- Still in the block configuration, adjust the visibility settings to dictate where and for whom the chat widget should appear.
- Finalize Setup: After setting the code and visibility options, save your new block.
Congratulations! Your Drupal site now includes a chat widget, enabling visitors to contact you directly.
